Job summary

Smile Brands is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists and specialists, preparing patients and treatment rooms, assisting during procedures and educating patients on oral care. You’ll help ensure a welcoming, efficient clinical environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient care, ongoing learning, and a collaborative practice. State credentialing and CPR/BLS are required; prior dental assisting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Meet all state‑specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain before start date.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine commitment to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Positive, dependable and willing‑to‑learn attitude.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred, but qualified new dental assistants may be considered depending on the state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, treatment rooms, instruments and equipment for dental procedures.
• Assist dentists and specialists during examinations and dental procedures.
• Take and prepare dental X-rays and other diagnostic records, when permitted by state regulations and within your credentials.
• Provide patients with clear, compassionate guidance on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
• Maintain appropriate infection control, sterilization and safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and supplies.
• Support an efficient, organized clinical environment.
• Help create a welcoming, comfortable experience for every patient.
• Work collaboratively with the entire dental team to deliver exceptional care.
