Job summary

Smile Brands Inc. is seeking a Dental Assistant to prepare patients, treatment rooms and instruments, and to assist dentists and specialists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and confidence throughout care.

You will take and prepare dental X-rays where permitted by state regulations, maintain infection control and safety standards, educate patients on oral hygiene, and support an efficient, welcoming clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Meet all state-specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain before your start date.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine commitment to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Positive, dependable and willing-to-learn attitude.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred, but qualified new dental assistants may be considered depending on the practice and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, treatment rooms, instruments and equipment for dental procedures.
• Assist dentists and specialists during examinations and dental procedures.
• Take and prepare dental X-rays and other diagnostic records, when permitted by state regulations and within your credentials.
• Provide patients with clear, compassionate guidance on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain appropriate infection control, sterilization and safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and supplies.
• Support an efficient, organized clinical environment.
• Help create a welcoming, comfortable experience for every patient.
• Work collaboratively with the entire dental team to deliver exceptional care.
