Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant at Decatur Correctional Center in Decatur, Illinois. You will assist the dentist and dental hygienist in a correctional setting, preparing and sterilizing instruments and maintaining the operatory, while handling radiographic duties and basic administrative tasks.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a dental assisting program or six months experience, CPR certification, and current or obtainable X-ray

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a dental assisting program or six months of experience required.
• Certification as Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred; if not possessed, must obtain in first year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments.
• Operate radiographic equipment.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed.
