Job summary

The CHOICE Healthcare Services Orthodontic Department is seeking an Ortho Registered Dental Assistant to support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments and materials, and by passing instruments and materials during procedures.

Responsibilities include operating x-ray equipment, performing prophylaxis, instructing patients on oral hygiene, charting with the doctor, sterilizing instruments, and preparing rooms for hygiene and treatment.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• California Registered Dental Assistant License is required

• Prophy teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Chart and treatment plan with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Setup and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment

Summary:

The Ortho Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Pay Range: $20.77-$27.84/hour (Based on experience)
