Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant in Ridgefield, CT to join our team. You will support Doctors and Hygienists with chair-side care, patient prep, and instrument setup, delivering compassionate care and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, taking radiographs, and ensuring OSHA/HIPAA compliance. We value teamwork, reliability, and a commitment to exceptional patient experiences in a busy practice.

Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of experience preferred; new graduates considered.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Radiography/X-RAY certification for respective state.

Responsibilities

  • Provide chair-side clinical support to Doctors and Hygienists.
  • Prepare patients for treatment and assist during procedures.
  • Prepare trays, sterilize instruments, maintain asepsis.
  • Exposes and develops dental radiographs and ensures HIPAA compliance.

Schedule
  • Monday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Tuesday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
  • Wednesday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Responsibilities

Dental Assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need. The Dental Assistant will help prepare the patient for treatment and assist the dentist in restorative dentistry.

Skills Required to Make a Great \"Impression\" on Our Team
  • Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists which includes but is not limited to: charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
  • Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
  • Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
  • Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
  • Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
  • Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
Qualifications
  • Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
