Job summary

Choice Healthcare Services is seeking a Dental Assistant to support pediatric dental and orthodontic care. The role includes room preparation, patient handling, and instrument passagemaking in a supportive practice environment.

Compensation includes a sign-on bonus and hourly pay ranging from $20.00 to $25.00 based on experience, with opportunities for growth within a caring team focused on children's oral health.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
• X-Ray certification
• BLS certification
• 8-hour Infection Control certification
• 2-hour Dental Practice Act certification

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IO's
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor

Education

Dental college certification or equivalent

3–6 months related experience or training

X-Ray certification

BLS certification

8-hour Infection Control certification

2-hour Dental Practice Act certification

Summary: The Dental Assistant supports dental and orthodontic care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Pay Range: $20.00 -$25.00 /hr (Based on experience)
