Job summary

The Smilist in Blackwood/Washington Township, NJ is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant to join our team. You’ll help patients feel comfortable, assist doctors chairside, and keep treatment rooms prepared and sterile.

Earn $25-$30/hour for 30 scheduled hours with pay for 36 hours. Enjoy balanced shifts: two weekdays plus one rotating weekend day, with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey dental X-ray license is required.
• Prior dental assisting experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors chairside to deliver high-quality dental care.

• Set up procedure trays and stock operatories.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00/hour

Schedule: 2 weekdays (7am-7:30pm) + 1 rotating weekend day (Friday/Saturday - 7:30am-2pm)

• Set up procedure trays and keep operatories stocked with the supplies needed for the day.
• Help patients transition smoothly from treatment to the front desk.
• Support the team in delivering an exceptional patient experience, one smile at a time.

What We’re Looking For

• Prior dental assisting experience.
• An active New Jersey dental X-ray license.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• A team player who is organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• A positive attitude and the ability to multitask in a busy dental practice.

Bonus points:

RDA/CDA certification and Dentrix experience are welcome, but not required!
