The Smilist Dental in Gibbsboro, NJ is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to support doctors, prepare trays, and help maintain a clean, comfortable practice. The role offers a 30-hour week with pay for 36 hours and a rotating schedule that includes a weekend day.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of dental assisting experience and an active NJ x-ray license. Dentrix skills are a plus, with competitive compensation and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Active NJ X-ray license is required.
• Experience as a Dental Assistant, minimum 1 year.
• Understanding of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Dentrix experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist doctors during dental procedures and prep patients.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming treatment environment.
• Escort patients to the front desk and manage tray setups.
• Ensure adequate supplies in each operatory and replenish as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Must have an active NJ x-ray license
• RDA/CDA a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays 7am-7:30pm and rotating Friday/Saturday 7:30am-2pm
• Salary Range: $24.00-$28.00/hour - depending on licensing
• Location: Gibbsboro, NJ
