Job summary

The Smilist in Marlton, NJ is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. Work 30 hours per week and get paid for 36, with a schedule including two weekdays and one weekend day on a rotating Friday/Saturday. We offer health, dental, and vision insurance, plus opportunities for professional growth.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of dental assisting experience and an active NJ X-ray license. RDA/CDA are a plus but not required; Dentrix experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year.
• Must have an active NJ x-ray license.
• RDA/CDA a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment and address concerns.
• Assist doctors and keep operatory clean and stocked.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and manage supplies in each operatory.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Must have an active NJ x-ray license
• RDA/CDA a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Salary Range: $25.00-$28.00/hour - based on licensure
