Job summary

The Smilist in Marlton, NJ is seeking a friendly, dependable Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. This role features a 30-hour schedule with pay for 36 hours, and a rotating weekend day on Fridays or Saturdays. Expect two weekdays (Tuesdays and Thursdays 7am–7:30pm) plus one rotating weekend day.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey dental X-ray license.
• Prior dental assisting experience.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Help patients feel comfortable and cared for during visits.
• Assist doctors chairside for efficient, high‑quality treatment.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, maintain a clean environment.
• Set up procedure trays and stock operatories for the day.
• Assist patients transitioning from treatment to front desk.
• Support the team in delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00/hour

Schedule: 2 weekdays (Tuesdays + Thursdays 7am-7:30pm) + 1 rotating weekend day (Friday/Saturday - 7:30am-2pm)

• Help patients transition smoothly from treatment to the front desk.
• Support the team in delivering an exceptional patient experience, one smile at a time.

What We're Looking For

• Prior dental assisting experience.
• An active New Jersey dental X-ray license.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• A team player who is organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• A positive attitude and the ability to multitask in a busy dental practice.

Bonus points:

RDA/CDA certification and Dentrix experience are welcome, but not required!
