Job summary

Capozzi Dental Group in Prospect, CT is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our family‑oriented team. You will greet patients, assist the doctor, prepare trays, take x-rays, and maintain a clean operatory to ensure a smooth daily schedule.

The ideal candidate has a GED or high school diploma, excellent customer service, and a willingness to learn. Dentrix Ascend software experience and ICE certification are preferred; hours align with office times.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Superior customer service skills.
Willingness to learn and grow with the team.
Ability to reliably commute to Prospect, CT.

Responsibilities

Greet and seat patients
Act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor
Set up trays as indicated by the days’ charts
Review schedules and anticipate the doctor’s needs in advance
Assist chairside using four-handed dentistry
Enter treatment plans
Take x-rays as needed
Clean and disinfect operatory after each patient
Take alginates/pour and trim models
Package and sterilize instruments
Keep operatory fully stocked
