Job summary

Quinnipiac Endodontics and Main Street Dental in New Britain, CT is seeking a highly motivated Part-time Dental Assistant to join a family‑oriented team. You will greet and seat patients, assist the doctor chairside, and help prepare trays and materials for daily procedures.

The role requires reliable multi-tasking and excellent patient communication. Responsibilities include taking X-rays, maintaining sterilization, and supporting the schedule while ensuring a welcoming patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Superior customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat patients and act as a liaison between patient and doctor.
• Set up trays and prepare for the day’s procedures.
• Assist chairside using four-handed dentistry and take X-rays as needed.
• Review schedules and anticipate the doctor’s needs.
• Maintain operatory cleanliness and sterilize instruments as required.

Currently, we're in search of a highly motivated Part-time Dental Assistant. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic, be a team player and possess the ability to multitask

Specific Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Greet and seat patients
• Act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor
• Set up trays as indicated by the days' charts
• Review schedules and anticipate the doctor's needs in advance
• Assist chairside using four-handed dentistry
• Enter treatment plans
• Take x-rays as needed
• Clean and disinfect operatory after each patient
• Take alginates/pour and trim models
• Package and sterilize instruments
• Keep operatory fully stocked
• Act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor

Available To Work During Current Office Hours

• Monday - 7:30am - 5pm
• Wednesday - 7:30am - 5pm (Wallingford)
• Friday - 7:30am - 5pm

Preferred Qualities

• Dental Office Experience
• Dentrix Ascend software experience
• X-Ray and ICE Certification

Salary Description

$20-$24/ hour
