Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake if needed.
• Assist dentists in managing dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supplies, and emergency contact information.

Qualifications

• Registered Dental Assistant – Required
• Minimum of 2 years of on-the-job experience
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
