Job summary

Triad Kids Dental in Danville, part of Kids Dental Brands, is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to support pediatric patient care in a modern, kid-friendly setting.

The role involves chairside assisting, radiographs, instrument sterilization, and patient education. Virginia Radiology or DANB certification is required, with a daytime schedule and dedicated team support to promote a positive dental experience for children and families.

Qualifications

• Must have Virginia Radiology Certification or DANB Radiology Certification.
• Experience assisting dentists with pediatric patients is preferred.
• Ability to educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene.
• Capable of taking and processing dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Comfort in a fast-paced, kid-focused clinical environment.
• Strong infection control and instrument sterilization practices.

Responsibilities

• Work chairside with dentists to support high-quality patient care.
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Assist with procedures including impressions, extractions, and fillings.
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene (brushing, flossing, nutrition).
• Review medical histories, take vitals, and update records.
• Help children feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
• Provide post-treatment care instructions to patients and families.

What You’ll Do

• Work chairside with dentists to support high-quality patient care
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Assist with procedures including impressions, extractions, and fillings
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene (brushing, flossing, nutrition)
• Review medical histories, take vitals (blood pressure and pulse), and update records
• Help children feel comfortable and confident before, during, and after treatment
• Provide post-treatment care instructions to patients and families

Position Requirements

• Virginia Radiology Certification or DANB Radiology Certification

Pay

• $17 - $17 an hour
