Job summary

The Smilist in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking a friendly, dependable Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. You will help clinicians, prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure patients feel at ease from check-in to checkout.

You will work two weekdays and one rotating weekend day, earning $25–$28 per hour for 30 hours of work with pay for 36 hours. We offer health, dental, vision insurance and opportunities for continuing education and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey dental X-ray license.
• Prior dental assisting experience.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and procedures.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Organized, dependable and detail-oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a busy practice.

Responsibilities

• Help patients feel comfortable, confident, and cared for throughout dental visits.
• Assist doctors chairside to ensure efficient, high-quality dental treatment.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment.
• Set up procedure trays and keep operatories stocked with supplies for the day.
• Help patients transition smoothly from treatment to the front desk.
• Support the team in delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ

Pay: $25.00-$28.00/hour

Schedule: 2 weekdays (Tuesdays + Thursdays 7am-7:30pm) + 1 rotating weekend day (Friday/Saturday - 7:30am-2pm)

What We're Looking For

• Prior dental assisting experience
• An active New Jersey dental X-ray license
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Strong communication and people skills
• A team player who is organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
• A positive attitude and the ability to multitask in a busy dental practice

Bonus points: RDA/CDA certification and Dentrix experience are welcome, but not required!
