Job summary

Modern Dental Smiles in Jupiter, FL is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our patient-centered team. This full-time, day-shift position supports doctors with chairside procedures, X-rays, and aseptic room setup in a friendly, doctor-owned practice.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited Dental Assisting program and Florida radiography certification, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program / school is required.
• Valid Florida Dental Radiography certification (or EFDA) is preferred.
• Friendly, cheerful personality with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Patient care & comfort: greet patients and ensure they are comfortable before and during procedures.
• Chairside assisting: assist doctors through standard 4-handed dentistry.
• Sterilization & room setup: prepare operatories and sterilize equipment according to regulations.
• X-rays & impressions: take clear digital dental X-rays and assist with impressions or tray setups.
• Operatory maintenance: keep treatment rooms clean and well-stocked.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care & Comfort: Greet patients warmly, walk them to operatories, answer general dental questions, and make sure they feel comfortable before and during procedures.
• Chairside Assisting: Assist doctors through standard 4-handed dentistry across general restorative care and routine exams.
• Sterilization & Room Setup: Prepare operatories, set up dental instruments, and sterilize equipment according to health and safety regulations.
• X-rays & Impressions: Take clear digital dental X-rays and assist with basic impressions or tray setups.
• Operatory Maintenance: Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies.

Qualifications:

What We Are Looking For

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program / Dental Assistant School (required).
• Valid Florida Dental Radiography certification (or EFDA).
• Friendly, cheerful personality with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, self-motivation, and a desire to learn and take instruction well.
• Experience with Dentrix (or general dental software) is a plus, but not required.
