Veit & Company, Inc. seeks a Demolition Safety Manager to keep our projects and sites safe by identifying hazards, addressing unsafe practices, and supporting safety programs. This hands-on role works with employees and project teams to reinforce health and safety requirements in the field.

The ideal candidate has OSHA 30, strong communication, and at least 2 years in construction or related industries. Expect 8–10 hour days, travel, and opportunities to influence safety culture across multiple

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in construction, waste, or transportation industries.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety compliance for construction, facility, fleet, and field operations.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and property damage; establish root cause and mitigations.
• Conduct in-house site safety training and write site safety programs.
• Perform site safety audits and provide coaching and training.
• Assist with OSHA, EPA, MDH, MPCA, DOT regulations and reporting.
• Maintain air monitoring instruments and records.
• Conduct safety orientations for new staff and subcontractors.
• Review and update safety policies; stay current with regulations.
• Provide back-up support for Safety Coordinator.
