Job summary

Coastal Demolition LLC seeks an experienced demolition foreman to lead daily field operations, review plans, and ensure safe, efficient progress on our projects in Hampstead, MD.

You will conduct safety meetings, monitor crew performance, identify hazards, and coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and GC teams to keep on-schedule work.

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum of demolition or closely related construction experience.
• 3 years minimum of foreman experience.
• Strong knowledge of demolition methods, sequencing, and jobsite safety.
• Ability to read plans and project documents.
• Experience operating or directing use of skid steers, excavators, forklifts, manlifts and other demolition equipment.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass drug screenings or site-specific clearance requirements.
• First Aid and CPR certifications (in hand).
• Ability to use Procore software on iPad.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise demolition crews during daily field operations.
• Review project plans, scopes of work, and site conditions.
• Conduct PTPs, toolbox talks, daily safety meetings.
• Monitor crew productivity and workmanship.
• Identify hazards and ensure proper use of PPE.
• Coordinate equipment, materials, dumpsters, trucking, and site access.
• Oversee selective, structural, interior, and MEP demolition activities.
• Confirm utilities are properly identified, disconnected, or protected before work begins.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, inspectors, and GC.
• Maintain daily reports, time records, equipment logs, and incident documentation.
• Monitor schedules and communicate delays, changes, or field conflicts promptly.
• Ensure debris is sorted, handled, and disposed of in accordance with project.
• Inspect tools and equipment and report maintenance or repair needs.
• Train and mentor crew members while maintaining a professional, productive jobsite.

Physical requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and work at heights for extended periods

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in dust, noise, heat, cold, and changing weather conditions

Ability to wear required PPE including respirator when applicable

Willingness to work overtime, weekends, nights, or minimal travel when project requires
