Gloucester Charities Trust's Guild House in the community seeks a Dementia Wellbeing Assistant to enhance residents' daily lives through meaningful activities.

You will lead one-to-one and group sessions, support those living with dementia, and work with families and volunteers to create a warm, inclusive environment.

The role offers 30 hours per week with a base rate of £13.80 per hour plus weekend enhancements.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with older people.
• Understanding of dementia and person-centred care.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours.

Responsabilités

• Planning and delivering a varied programme of one to one and group meaningful activities and events
• Supporting residents living with dementia through meaningful occupation and social engagement
• Organising reminiscence, music, crafts, exercise and community activities
• Encouraging independence, choice and participation
• Promote positive mental and emotional wellbeing
• Working collaboratively with care staff, families and volunteers
• Contributing to a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment
• Maintain accurate records of participation and outcomes
