Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Program Coordinator to plan and oversee dementia-friendly activities for residents, aligning with Brookdale standards and budgets. This role emphasizes person-centered programming, collaboration with families and staff, and ongoing program improvement across the community.

The position requires a Bachelor's in a related field and at least two years of dementia programming experience, plus a valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, education or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of direct programming experience with older adults and persons with dementia preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving abstract.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and facilitates dementia friendly programs for residents.
• Develops a monthly calendar in partnership with residents and executes events.
• Ensures programs comply with Brookdale standards and regulations.
• May supervise program assistants and participate in hiring and coaching.
• Reports health changes to clinical partner and collaborates on interventions.
