Job summary

Fort Wayne Metals is seeking a Demand Planner to forecast customer demand, build multi-level forecasts, and inform supply chain decisions. You will collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, development, and supply teams to understand demand drivers and adjust plans accordingly.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years in supply chain planning, with strong skills in forecasting, data analysis, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Supply Chain planning, including S&OP processes and demand planning.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage in Pulse business systems and exhibit company behaviors.
• Collect and analyze data from internal and external sources affecting demand.
• Review historical sales trends to understand seasonality and peak demand times.
• Model data to forecast future demand.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing, finance, and others to adjust forecasts.
• Develop forecasts at multiple aggregation levels for multiple horizons.
• Monitor SKU levels and suggest SKU rationalization.
• Drive improvements in forecast accuracy and value add.
• Identify risks and opportunities in upcoming demand patterns.
• Document assumptions/overrides in planning.
• Communicate consensus forecasts to supply planning.
• Collaborate on strategies for existing/new items and phase-outs.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
