Job summary

iDeal seeks a Demand/Material Planner III in Saint Augustine, FL, to ensure timely, cost-effective material supply for steady production and delivery. You will partner with sales, finance and operations and manage production schedules based on demand and lead times.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in a related field, strong Excel and ERP/MRP skills, and proven forecasting experience. This full-time role offers growth in a collaborative team with robust planning processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business or related field.
  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of data management systems (MRP/ERP).
  • Experience in manufacturing demand forecasting and management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create and understand reports to drive production decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a positive working relationship with sales, finance and operations to understand demand drivers.
  • Optimize production capacity and material flow across departments to maximize efficiency.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure adequate material supply and balance inventory.
  • Create production schedules from customer orders and lead times.
  • Use ERP/MRP and tools to review demand and supply patterns.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
  • Prepare and report production and inventory performance metrics.
  • Ensure materials meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in planning and performance.

Job Description Production/Material Planner III is responsible for ensuring the appropriate supply of cost-effective and high-quality materials required to maintain steady production and product delivery. The ideal candidate will be technically competent and resourceful with a positive, customer-centric attitude.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop a positive and close working relationship with sales, finance and operations teams to understand current and forecasted demand drivers.
  • Optimize production capacity and material flow through all production departments, recommending staffing requirements to leadership to maximize production efficiencies.
  • Implement strategies and coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure adequate supply of materials, preventing shortages and excesses
  • Utilize incoming customer orders to create and maintain production schedules, meeting/exceeding lead time expectations
  • Leverage the ERP/MRP and other tools to review material demand and supply patterns, identifying trends and maintaining optimal levels of raw material inventory
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms with suppliers to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report production and inventory performance, tracking material availability, usage rates, lead times and delivery performance.
  • Ensure purchased materials meet specifications, quality standards and optimal costs
  • Identify and implement process improvements through a robust planning and performance management process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business or relative experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong knowledge of other data management systems (i.e. MRP, etc.)
  • Experience in manufacturing demand forecasting and management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create and understand reports to drive production decisions
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities

Physical demands: The employee frequently/continuously is required to sit, stand, bend, walk, utilize hand and finger dexterity, reach with hands and arms, and continually utilize visual acuity to read information and use a keyboard. This position may require the employee to lift, push or pull material up to 50lbs.
