Job summary

Paligen Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Materials Planner/Scheduler II to develop and execute production and materials planning aligned with customer demand.

You will balance inventory, schedules, and on-time delivery while coordinating with suppliers, production, logistics, and engineering. The role emphasizes analyzing demand trends, monitoring supply risks, and driving efficiency across the supply chain.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field such as Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or Business.
  • 3–5 years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, or materials management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with forecasting, inventory control and data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems; Excel skills required.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic production setting.
  • Must be a US Person.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule master production based on forecasts, orders, and capacity.
  • Maintain MRP to ensure accurate demand signals and timely replenishment.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and adjust plans for demand changes or constraints.
  • Optimize inventory levels balancing cost and schedules.
  • Reduce excess/obsolete inventory through proactive planning.
  • Track inventory trends to improve accuracy and forecast stability.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure material availability and mitigate risks.
  • Maintain lead times and safety stock.
  • Identify and resolve supply shortages, delays, and quality issues.
  • Work with production, engineering, quality, and logistics to support daily operations.
  • Communicate schedule changes and demand fluctuations to internal stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Maintain planning parameters in ERP/MRP and generate reports.
  • Use data to monitor KPIs like forecast accuracy, OTIF, and inventory turns.
  • Generate insights to support decision-making.

Material Planner/Scheduler II Job Summary

The Material Planner/Scheduler II is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing production and materials planning that supports manufacturing operations and customer demand. This role ensures optimal inventory levels, accurate production schedules, on-time delivery, and strong coordination between suppliers, production, logistics, and engineering. The Planner analyzes demand trends, monitors supply risks, and drives operational efficiency across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning & SchedulingExecute master production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and capacity constraints.
  • Maintain material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure accurate demand signals and timely replenishment.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and adjust plans based on changes in demand, production issues, or supply constraints.
  • Inventory ManagementOptimize inventory levels to balance manufacturing schedules, cost, and working-capital targets.
  • Reduce excess and obsolete inventory through proactive planning and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Track and analyze inventory trends to improve accuracy and forecast stability.
  • Supplier & Material CoordinationCollaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and mitigate supply risks.
  • Review, monitor, and maintain lead times and safety stock.
  • Identify and resolve supply shortages, delays, and quality issues impacting production.
  • Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with production, engineering, quality, and logistics to support daily operations.
  • Communicate schedule changes, material shortages, and demand fluctuations to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide planning support for continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Data & Systems ManagementMaintain accurate planning parameters (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, BOM accuracy) within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Use data analysis tools to monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, and schedule adherence.
  • Generate reports and insights to support operational decision-making.
Required Qualifications
  • Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
