Job summary

LHH is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate production schedules, materials, and resources to ensure manufacturing orders are completed on time and according to customer requirements. You will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to maintain an efficient production schedule and quickly address any scheduling or material issues.

This role requires strong Excel and ERP/MRP experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, materials planning, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret production orders and BOMs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders, priorities, capacity, and available materials.
  • Coordinate production activities across multiple departments to ensure orders remain on schedule.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules when priorities, materials, or customer requirements change.
  • Review inventory levels and work with Purchasing to ensure required materials and components are available.
  • Identify potential material shortages, production delays, and capacity constraints and communicate issues to management.
  • Coordinate with Production Supervisors and operators to establish realistic completion dates.
  • Maintain accurate production planning information within the company's ERP/MRP system.
  • Track open orders, work-in-process, production status, and expected completion dates.
  • Work with Purchasing and vendors regarding material availability and lead times.
  • Communicate production schedules and changes to internal departments.
  • Assist with improving production planning processes, scheduling accuracy, and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide production status reports to management.
  • Support inventory control, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications


  • 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, materials planning, or manufacturing operations.

  • Manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred.

  • Experience working with an ERP/MRP system.

  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

  • Ability to read and understand production orders, bills of material, drawings, or manufacturing documentation.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing production requirements.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Management.

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Ability to work onsite in Jacksonville, Florida.
