Job summary

Concertina Team seeks a Deltek Ajera Accounting & Systems Specialist to own a project-based accounting environment, strengthen financial processes, and help build scalable systems for a growing engineering and professional-services organization.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant accounting and financial systems experience, strong hands-on Ajera expertise, and a solid understanding of project-based accounting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant accounting, project accounting, financial systems, or related professional experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Deltek Ajera; experience with Vantagepoint or other Deltek products is valuable.
• Strong understanding of project-based accounting, including billing, AR, WIP, project financials, profitability, and reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze and reconcile complex financial data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and root causes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the internal expert and power user for Deltek Ajera.
• Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Ajera environment.
• Review workflows and identify opportunities to improve controls, reporting, data quality, and efficiency.
• Establish and maintain best practices for Ajera use across accounting, PM, and leadership.
• Manage system setup for employees, clients, projects, phases, billing structures, rates, and related data.
• Improve consistency and accuracy of financial and project information in Ajera.
• Support project setup and project accounting processes for a project-based environment.
• Improve processes related to time and expense reporting, billing, invoicing, AR, and AP.
• Support WIP management, revenue recognition, project profitability analysis, and reconciling.
