Job summary

Amgen Inc. in Rhode Island seeks a Manufacturing Systems Engineer (DeltaV) to support process automation for commercial manufacturing. You will work within the Automation Engineering team, focusing on DeltaV-based control systems and lifecycle support.

The role requires a strong background in process automation, qualification, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, QA, and validation teams at our West Greenwich site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED and 8 years of automation and/or engineering experience
• Associate’s degree and 6 years of automation and/or engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of automation and/or engineering experience
• Master’s degree in a technical field is favorable

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to commercial manufacturing, focusing on process control, automation infra, and process systems.
• Leads and supports root cause analyses and incident investigations related to DeltaV control systems.
• Supports validation, commissioning, and qualification of automation projects.
• Provides 24x7 on-call support for automation systems on rotation.
• Collaborates with manufacturing, process engineering, utilities, maintenance, QA, and validation teams.
