Job summary

Amgen seeks an Associate Manufacturing Systems Engineer (Delta-V) for its Rhode Island facility. You will support complex automation initiatives, provide project leadership, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive operational excellence across Mfg Systems Engineering.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with automation/engineering experience, familiarity with DeltaV, and the ability to support 24x7 operations. Amgen offers a broad benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; strong automation background.
Experience with process automation in manufacturing; DeltaV familiarity preferred.
Knowledge of industry standards such as S88, 21 CFR 11, and GAMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for process control, automation infrastructure, and systems.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, QA, and validation teams.
Support root-cause analyses and troubleshooting of process control issues.
Lead engineering assessments and support automation runs for new products.
Assist in commissioning, qualification, and life cycle management of systems.
Provide on-call 24x7 support on automation systems on a rotation.
