Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a Delivery Assistant to support drivers by loading and unloading merchandise, interfacing with customers, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. This role does not involve driving company or rental vehicles.

Responsibilities include assisting with loading, communicating with customers during delivery, and providing proof of delivery while maintaining professional customer service. Knowledge of warehouse procedures and handling equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Assists delivery drivers with loading/unloading and customer interfacing.
• Ensures all safety procedures and practices are followed.
• Provides proof of delivery and resolves basic customer service issues.
• Works with delivery drivers to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of orders.
• Inspects deliveries prior to load for accuracy and damage.
• Relays escalated customer concerns to distribution center leadership.
• Performs general warehouse duties as needed.
