Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a delivery assistant to aid drivers with customer orders, loading/unloading, and customer interactions. The role emphasizes safety and accurate handling, and does not require operating company vehicles.

Under close supervision, the position involves following prescribed procedures, supporting distribution centers, and performing general warehouse tasks with potential overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• CA, CO, CT, D.C., DE, HI, IL, MA, MD, ME, MN, NJ, NV, NY, OH, RI, VA, VT, WA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading merchandise into delivery vehicles using equipment.
• Make customer calls before and during delivery and provide proof of delivery.
• Interface with customers and resolve basic service issues.
• Escalate concerns to distribution center leadership.
• Perform general warehouse duties as needed.
