Job summary

Breakthru Beverage Group is seeking a delivery operations supervisor in Montgomery County, PA to support the daily management of the operations delivery staff. Experience with routing software is required, and familiarity with Samsara for fleet monitoring is preferred.

The role involves coaching drivers, handling performance actions, supervising attendance, payroll, and DOT compliance, and ensuring accurate invoicing and customer relations. A CDL and related field degree are a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily management of the delivery operations staff.
• Monitor delivery fleet using Samsara.
• Handle performance management activities (hiring, transfers, discipline).
• Maintain driver attendance records (sick days, vacation).
• Train drivers on safety, lifting techniques, and delivery processes.
• Conduct ride-alongs to coach on customer service and safety.
• Oversee payroll attendance and PTO tracking.
• Ensure DOT compliance and drug screening as required.
• Process daily driver invoices and related paperwork.
• Interface with customers to resolve discrepancies and build relationships.
• Collaborate with sales, warehouse, delivery and customer service teams.
• Administer workers’ compensation and safety programs.

Job description

The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the daily management of the operations delivery staff.

Routing Software Experience is Required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Effectively aide in managing the delivery operations team.
• Monitor delivery fleet using Samsara.
• Recommend and/or perform performance management actions including but not limited to selection and hiring, transferring, and discharging, the assignment of work, or progressive discipline.
• Maintain driver’s attendance records, sick days, vacation, etc.
• Trains drivers in the areas of safe driving, proper lifting techniques and company delivery process and procedure.
• Regular ride along with Drivers and perform observation and coaching to ensure proper customer service, productivity metric achievement, and safety practices
• Payroll oversight including attendance records and paid time off
• Responsible for DOT compliance, which may include DOT safety requirements and DOT drug screening.
• Oversee or aide in the function of timely and accurate verification and processing of the daily delivery driver invoices, associated paperwork, returns and collections.
• Interface with customers solving discrepancies, problems and creating a cohesive relationship.
• Foster and maintain a collaborative relationship with the sales, warehouse, delivery and customer service departments.
• Administration of worker’s compensation, incentive and safety programs.
• Responsibly handle beverage alcohol product.
• Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in related area
• Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
• Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
• Analytic and Reporting skills
• Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintain a valid CDL license
• Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to remain in a stationary position at times; communicate, and operate a computer and telephone
• Occasionally carry & lift up to 65 pounds
• Occasionally reach overhead, squat and bend
• Frequently walk and stand for extended periods of time
