Job summary

Breakthru Beverage Group in Jacksonville, FL seeks a full-time delivery associate to unload and deliver pre-sold products from our Distribution Center to customer accounts. You will operate a non-CDL van, follow route plans, and handle payments and delivery records.

Schedule: Tue-Fri starting at 5am. Competitive pay: $21.63/hr. The role focuses on safety, liquor compliance, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders of wine, spirits, beer, and other beverages to accounts.
• Manage the Customer Relationship and resolve concerns.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Follow route plan and communicate deviations.
• Collect payment and reconcile with invoices.
• Complete daily sales and delivery records.
• Sign invoices upon delivery.
• Support DOT compliance and vehicle safety procedures.

Pay Rate : $21.63/hr.

Job Responsibilities

Operate a van / non-cdl vehicle and deliver assigned orders of wine, spirits, beer, and other beverages to accounts in a safe and responsible manner while complying with federal mandated laws.

Manage the Customer Relationship

• Maintain good relations with customers. Provides customer service by listening and resolving customer concerns.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Follow route plan as designed and communicate deviations of route plan with leadership when an opportunity presents itself.
• Collect payment from customers and reconcile the assigned load with receipts and delivery invoice.
• Records sales by completing daily sales and delivery records.
• Returns empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise by making appropriate collections from customers.
• Responsible for paperwork required by liquor laws in which invoices must be signed when the product is delivered.

Non CDL / Van DOT Compliance

• Maintains records of compliance by completing DOT driver log.
• Performs duties in a safe manner by following established safety rules and regulations while loading and unloading vehicle.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Determines condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use; logging inspection; reporting requirements
• Maintains safe vehicle and conditions and protects load by complying with organization policies, procedures, highway rules and regulations.
• Maintains appearance of delivery van with daily cleaning
• Requests routine vehicle / equipment maintenance by completing written maintenance request form.
• Ability to use and maintain delivery equipment such as hand truck, dollies, and pallet jack when necessary.

Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Possess a valid Class C driver’s license
• Demonstrate effective communication skills with prominent levels of professionalism
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, diligence, and punctuality
• Utilize sound judgement and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in related area is a plus
• Bi-lingual a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements

• Frequently sit, stand, bend, squat, and reach.
• Frequently climb into and out of truck.
• Regularly lift 45-65 lbs.
• Must talk, hear, use hands and fingers to operate a vehicle and tech device.

• Accountable for meeting own targets, work is reviewed periodically.
• Problems encountered will be defined, repetitive, and routine with a solution readily available.
