Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Trainee for the Customer Delivery Specialist role in Garner, NC. The trainee will learn all aspects of the delivery function, operate the delivery vehicle safely, and support routes including open and vacation routes.

Responsibilities include pre-post-trip inspections, delivering to stores, merchandising, and maintaining strong customer relationships. DOT/FMCSA rules apply, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to first day of employment.
• Positive attitude and must be detail oriented.
• Perform basic financial calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-post-trip inspection on truck per DOT requirements.
• Safely drives and maneuvers a delivery truck.
• Delivers product to stores and services scheduled customers.
• Unloads, merchandises and rotates product to standards.
• Establishes positive relationships with primary account contacts.
• Obtains required signatures and ensures accurate invoice settlement.
