Job description

The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities include collecting money on C.O.D. deliveries and picking up customer returns.

Essential Job Functions

1. Operate company vehicles for deliveries safely and efficiently.
2. Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and complete vehicle inspections.
3. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of delivery vehicles, including daily inspections.
4. Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, devices, and collected monies at all times.
5. Pick up customer returns and complete return slips.
6. Communicate customer issues or special needs to management.
7. Report vehicle issues or damages immediately.
8. Ensure vehicles are fueled, locked, and secured at end of day.
9. Follow clock-in/out policies.
10. Perform additional duties such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, and errands.
11. Assist customers, serve as cashier, or support merchandising as needed.

Skills, Education, and Experience

Required:

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Adaptability to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record meeting company standards (14/18-point system).
• Legally required driver’s license and eligibility.

Desired:

• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate light store equipment.
• Multilingual skills, especially Spanish.
