Job summary

FreshDirect is seeking a Delivery Runner in New York to deliver orders by foot in designated areas. This is a physical, outdoor role that involves lifting, lowering, and carrying packages while providing friendly, professional service.

You must be available Sundays and Mondays, work flexible mornings or evenings, and use a smartphone to communicate with the Operations Team. Training is provided; candidates should be able to lift 50 lbs and navigate NYC streets.

Qualifications

• Ability to clearly communicate and read in English.
• Must be willing to work in any weather condition (heat, rain, snow, ect).
• Must be able to work both Sunday and Monday.
• Must be able to work a flexible shift (mornings and/or evenings).
• Ability to complete all basic and recurring training.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs with appropriate equipment.
• Prior customer service and delivery experience desired.
• Comfort /familiarity with basic smartphone operations.
• Ability to utilize smartphones for two-way communication with our Operations Team.
• Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture.
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions independently.
• Ability to navigate a route successfully & independently.
• Knowledge of scanning is preferred.
• Knowledge of NYC Streets preferred.
