Job summary

WP Beverages is hiring a delivery associate in Oacoma, SD, Monday–Friday, 4:30 a.m. start, to efficiently deliver packaged goods to customers and assist with merchandising and stocking at the point of delivery.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid Class A CDL (or ability to obtain one within 30 days), and strong safety, communication, and math skills. Training is provided for CDL if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; sales, customer service, and/or delivery experience.
• Valid Class A CDL or ability to obtain one within 30 days (we will train; permit required before starting).
• Knowledge of State and Federal DOT vehicle requirements, rules, and regulations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational, time management and decision-making skills in a distracting environment.
• Intermediate math and personal computing skills; operate handheld devices.
• Ability to operate 2-wheel handcarts and forklift with annual certification.
• Physical ability to lift/move 50 lbs+ and loads weighing 250–1000 lbs.
• Physical mobility for frequent vehicle access and repetitive motions.

What We're Looking For

• The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma with previous sales, customer service, and/or delivery experience
• Possess a valid Class A CDL or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment (we will train; you MUST have your permit before starting)
• Basic knowledge of State and Federal D.O.T. vehicle requirements, rules, and regulations
• Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language
• Strong organizational, time management and decision-making skills with the ability to work within a highly distracting environment
• Must possess intermediate math and personal computing skills with the ability to operate hand-held computing devices
• Must have the ability to operate 2-wheel handcarts as well as powered industrial equipment including a fork-truck in a safe manner and maintain annual fork-truck certification
• Ability to perform physical tasks which will include the lifting and moving of 50 lbs. or more and pulling/pushing product loads weighing from 250 lbs. to 1,000 lbs
• Physical mobility to make frequent trips in and out of vehicle, to and from customer accounts. The repetitive motion of one's neck, wrist, fingers, and/or arms. Prolonged sitting, twisting, kneeling, and bending
