Job summary

WP Beverages is hiring a Delivery Representative in Rock Island, IL. This full-time role ensures timely delivery of packaged goods to customers, assists with merchandising and rotation, and supports safe storage of products on a daytime route.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a valid Class A CDL or the ability to obtain one within 30 days, strong English communication, and the physical ability to lift 50 lbs and move loads up to 1,000 lbs, with DOT knowledge and independent work

Qualifications

• High school diploma with sales, customer service and/or delivery experience.
• Valid Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 30 days; DOT knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong English reading and writing skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to operate hand-held devices; standard math proficiency.
• Ability to operate 2-wheel handcarts and forklifts with certification.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs+ and move loads up to 1,000 lbs.
• Read, write and comprehend English for essential duties.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

About the Role

• Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of packaged goods to designated large and small format customers
• Will assist in the merchandising, rotation, and proper storage of delivered products
• Other Duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma with previous sales, customer service, and/or delivery experience
• Possess a valid Class A CDL or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment (we will train; you MUST have your permit before starting). Basic knowledge of State and Federal D.O.T. vehicle requirements, rules, and regulations
• Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language
• Strong organizational, time management and decision-making skills with the ability to work within a highly distracting environment
• Must possess intermediate math and personal computing skills with the ability to operate hand-held computing devices
• Must have the ability to operate 2-wheel handcarts as well as powered industrial equipment including a fork-truck in a safe manner and maintain annual fork-truck certification
• Ability to perform physical tasks which will include the lifting and moving of 50 lbs. or more and pulling/pushing product loads weighing from 250 lbs. to 1,000 lbs
• Physical mobility to make frequent trips in and out of vehicle, to and from customer accounts. The repetitive motion of one's neck, wrist, fingers, and/or arms. Prolonged sitting, twisting, kneeling, and bending
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. The company will not sponsor employment visas now or in the future
• Applicants must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English at a level necessary to perform the essential duties of the position
