Job summary

The SYGMA Network is seeking an experienced transportation supervisor to support the manager in supervising delivery and backhaul activities. You will train and supervise transportation associates, ensure compliance with government regulations, and promote safety and security of the transportation department.

Responsibilities include supervising daily work, ensuring DOT/OSHA compliance, budgeting labor and supplies, and coordinating training and asset use.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of transportation experience.
• Class A CDL is required.
• Ability to read and write in English for reports and correspondence.
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of transportation associates.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations and DOT logs.
• Oversees labor hours and supplies within budget.
• Prepares work schedules and shift coverage.
• Assists with training of new associates and cross-training.
• Directs asset use to support delivery department and coordinates repairs.
