Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years related experience or training.
• Defensive driving program (Sysco approved).
• HazMat certification preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily delivery staff and ensure safe, efficient customer service according to SOPs and routes.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA and other regulatory requirements; maintain accurate logs.
• Manage labor hours and supplies within budget; prepare schedules.
• Oversee asset utilization and arrange needed repairs with appropriate departments.
• Monitor delivery productivity and generate performance reports.
• Offer ideas to improve efficiency and implement delivery changes.
• Enforce company policies, food safety, and record-keeping requirements.
• Coordinate with Sales and Marketing to resolve customer or delivery issues.
• Visit customer locations to address issues and assess delivery difficulty.
• Maintain open lines of communication with associates and lead regular pre-shift meetings.
