Job summary

Sysco San Diego, Inc. seeks an operations leader to direct the delivery department, drive safety and efficiency, and manage budgets. You will oversee delivery supervisors, route planning, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with sales and marketing to improve customer satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and extensive experience in transportation operations, including CDL and HazMat credentials, with a focus on cost control and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required as stated.
• 7 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• Valid Class A CDL and defensive driving training.
• HazMat & Doubles certifications preferred or required.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily work and safety of Delivery supervisors and staff.
• Ensure management effectively handles day-to-day delivery activities.
• Monitor KPI accuracy and achievement of sales/customer satisfaction goals.
• Prepare budgets, profit plans, and capital requests as needed.
• Coordinate repairs and optimize routing to increase profitability.
• Lead and participate in safety observations and driver training.
