Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart, Inc. is hiring a Delivery Manager in Cedar Park, TX. You will grow and retain a network of outbound service providers and coordinate between NFM and contractor teams to ensure fair practices and strong delivery performance.

Responsibilities include cost control on outbound shipments, ensuring contractor compliance, and developing forecasting tools with sales projections for new facilities. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, logistics or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3 years of customer service experience.
• 3 years of management experience.
• Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office Applications.
• Ability to enter data quickly and accurately.
• Valid driver’s license and ongoing acceptable driving record.
• Pre-employment screening includes criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and reduce spend on outbound transportation costs and handle cargo claim dispute resolutions.
• Manage Ensure independent contractors understand terms of the agreement, meet license/certification/insurance requirements and comply with requirements.
• Plan Work on Developing a Forecasting tool in conjunction with sales projections as well as growth for each new facility including forecasting labor needs.
• Act as an honest broker of delivery process hand off between NFM DC and Delivery management companies.
• Collaborate with Planning management group and independent Service Providers on KPI performance and service vehicle fleet size.
