Job summary

American Express is seeking a Director to lead the Delivery Intelligence & Automation Office in the U.S. This role will define and execute the strategy to modernize enterprise delivery through AI-enabled capabilities, intelligent automation, and data-driven insights.

You will partner with Delivery, Engineering, Data, Product, and Enterprise Architecture to deliver scalable solutions, surface predictive risks, and strengthen executive decision making.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading large-scale technology delivery or enterprise transformation.
• Proven ability to drive cross-functional programs across engineering, product, and business.
• Experience implementing automation, AI-enabled workflows, or intelligent reporting in large enterprises.
• Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles, Agile practices, governance.
• Experience building executive dashboards and delivery metrics.

Responsibilities

• Establish the vision and roadmap for Delivery Intelligence and Automation across the organization.
• Lead design and implementation of AI-enabled capabilities for planning, dependency management, and reporting.
• Automate manual delivery activities including executive reporting and governance processes.
• Build predictive delivery intelligence to identify risks and trends.
• Develop dashboards and telemetry for real-time portfolio visibility.
• Partner with Engineering, Data, Product, and EA teams to integrate AI into delivery processes.
• Evaluate emerging AI tech and workflow platforms for enterprise use.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with governance, quality, and controls.
• Define KPIs to demonstrate improvements in efficiency and visibility.
• Build and lead a high-performing team focused on analytics, automation, and AI-enabled transformation.
