Job summary

Eastern Industrial Supplies in Durham, NC is seeking a Warehouse Associate & Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. You will receive and inspect materials, pull and stage orders for shipment, package items securely, and complete shipping documentation.

You will load and secure deliveries, drive safely on local routes to customers and distribution centers, keep supervisors updated via phone and GPS, and help ensure delivery trucks are in good working condition.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational abilities.
• Safe driving record required.
• DOT medical card preferred (we can assist obtaining it).

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect materials from carriers and customer returns.
• Pull and stage orders for shipment using forklifts or order pickers.
• Package items securely and label them correctly.
• Complete shipping documentation and system entries while maintaining high quality standards.
• Load and secure deliveries and ensure safe transport in Eastern vehicles.
• Deliver orders to local customers and distribution centers.
• Maintain real-time communication with supervisors via phone and GPS.
• Inspect delivery trucks for proper working condition.
