Job summary

Capital Electric is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver in South Carolina to check and load materials, then deliver to customers or Capital Electric branches. You will build positive customer relationships while ensuring timely, accurate delivery and maintaining the company’s reputation for reliable service.

Responsibilities include loading, manifest creation, vehicle inspections, safe driving, order accuracy, and handling returns.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years driving experience with a 20 ft box truck.
• Must pass the DOT physical.
• No traffic violations or license suspensions in the past year.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly; up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
• Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Check material in staging area and load truck.
• Create shipping manifests.
• Perform truck maintenance inspections.
• Deliver material to customers and/or Capital Electric branch locations.
• Drive truck defensively, cautiously, and respectfully to various locations.
• Unload and place material where customer requests.
• Provide good customer service.
• Pick-up customer returns.
• Unload truck of customer returns.
• Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Be on time and work diligently with co-workers.
• Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day.
• Other duties as required.
