Job summary

Capital Electric is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to check and load material, deliver to customers or branches, and build positive relationships ensuring timely, accurate delivery. The role requires safety-minded driving and reliable performance.

Responsibilities include daily loading, shipping manifests, and performing truck inspections, with duties across various Capital Electric locations. Benefits and growth opportunities are offered within the Sonepar family.

Qualifications

• 2 years driving experience - 20 ft. box truck.
• Must be able to pass the DOT physical.
• No prior traffic violations or license suspensions for one year.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
• Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Check material in staging area and load truck
• Create shipping manifests
• Perform truck maintenance inspections
• Deliver material to customers and/or Capital Electric branch locations
• Drive truck defensively, cautiously, and respectfully to various locations
• Unload and place material where customer requests
• Provide good customer service
• Pick-up customer returns
• Unload truck of customer returns
• Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
• Be on time and work diligently with co-workers
• Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day
• Other duties as required
