Job summary

Capital Electric in Harrisonburg, VA is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver to check in materials, load trucks, and deliver to customers or branches while building positive customer relationships and upholding our reliable delivery service.

You will handle loading manifests, perform basic truck inspections, and ensure safe, on-time delivery. We offer strong benefits and a welcoming, military-friendly culture with opportunities for growth in the Sonepar family.

Qualifications

• 2 years driving experience with a 20 ft. box truck.
• Must be able to pass the DOT physical.
• No prior traffic violations or license suspensions for one year.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly; up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
• Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Check material in staging area and load truck.
• Create shipping manifests.
• Perform truck maintenance inspections.
• Deliver material to customers and/or Capital Electric branch locations.
• Drive truck defensively, cautiously, and respectfully to various locations.
• Unload and place material where customer requests.
• Provide good customer service.
• Pick-up customer returns.
• Unload truck of customer returns.
• Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Be on time and work diligently with co-workers.
• Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day.
• Other duties as required.
