Job summary

The Kendall Group is seeking an entry-level Delivery Driver to operate a delivery van and straight truck, moving cargo between customer sites and assisting in the warehouse as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with Chauffeur endorsement, and the ability to pass a DOT exam. The role involves lifting up to 50 lbs, driving daily, and working in a fast-paced wholesale distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Work Experience: Entry Level.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Licenses/Certifications: Driver’s License with Chauffeur’s endorsement and clean driving record.
• DOT Medical Exam and 1-Year Card required.
• Analytic/Computer Skills: use barcode scanners, printers, and standard warehouse equipment; basic math.
• Organization: strong work ethic and good verbal/written communication; able to work independently.
• Cross-functional: able to work in a team and follow supervision.
• Communication: communicate well with all levels; know when to ask for assistance.
• Physical: lift up to 50 lbs; stand/walk for 8 hours; driving and climbing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Professionally interact with customers during deliveries.
• Follow safety procedures and safe work habits.
• Drive product to various customer locations.
• Load and unload trucks according to procedures.
• Complete daily shipping paperwork.
• Identify and count inventory in assigned areas.
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and hand trucks.
• Participate in general warehouse housekeeping.
• Report equipment issues to the Distribution Center Manager.
