Job summary

Piggly Wiggly Midwest LLC in the United States (Wisconsin) is seeking a Professional Driver who will start with a Trainer, learn the C&S Way, and deliver product safely and on time in accordance with DOT regulations.

The role includes loading/unloading, operating dual‑temp equipment, 21+ required, and a weekly 45‑hour guarantee with a $1,383.30 gross minimum, plus a safe driving bonus up to $1,400 per year and day‑1 medical benefits.

Qualifications

• Specialized knowledge: DOT Certified and Class A CDL required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• DOT physical exam and compliance with FMCSR/DOT/Company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CMV (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler) to transport and deliver product.
• Load and unload (ambient or temp-controlled) goods to customers, 3–10 stops/day on average.
• Inspect equipment and document adherence to regulatory and company requirements.
• Ensure vehicle operability and safety in compliance with regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned, travel required.

Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Job Description

Pay Rate: $30.74/hour

6-Month Increase: Automatically moves up to $31.42 / hour

Weekly Guarantee: 45 hours guaranteed ($1,383.30 gross minimum per week)

Safe Driving Bonus: Up to $1,400 / year, evaluated on camera scores and paid out quarterly.

Dispatch times depend on route

Unloading: Strictly driving and backing into docks, unloading utilizing electric pallet jacks, forklift or touch freight

Equipment: Dual-Temp trailers.

Medical Benefits: Day 1 eligibility.

Bidding: bi-Annual route bidding process.

Description

• Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck, etc), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product

• Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day

• Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
