Job summary

Graybar is hiring a Delivery Driver to safely transport orders from the warehouse to customers, providing excellent service and maintaining positive relations. The role typically runs Monday through Friday, from 5:00am to 2:00pm, with the driver returning home each night.

Responsibilities include route planning, loading/unloading, vehicle inspections, and keeping accurate truck logs. A valid license, DOT medical exam, and experience with 26,000 GVWR vehicles are required.

• Must pass DOT medical exam and Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification.
• Pre-employment physical testing required.
• Experience driving a van or truck ≤ 26,000 GVWR.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Determine best routes for delivery to meet customer expectations.
• Deliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer service.
• Load and unload trucks using forklift and pallet jack.
• Inspect vehicle and supplies.
• Safely operate vehicle at all times.
• Maintain proper truck logs.
• Work a local route – no overnights or weekends away.

You will safely drive a Graybar truck or van from the warehouse to each destination, providing on-time delivery and good customer service. You will be responsible for maintaining positive customer relations and passing along customer feedback, and even promoting services and products!
