About the Role

The Delivery Dispatcher at Electronic Express coordinates daily delivery operations to ensure packages are routed, scheduled, and dispatched efficiently. This role supports delivery teams by maintaining accurate information, communicating clearly, and helping deliveries move on time.

Success in this position means maintaining smooth dispatch workflows, responding quickly to service needs and exceptions, and ensuring delivery schedules reflect real-time conditions while meeting performance expectations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor incoming delivery requests and prioritize routes based on schedule, location, and service requirements.
• Dispatch drivers and deliveries using established routing and scheduling processes.
• Track shipment status in real time and update records to reflect current progress and outcomes.
• Coordinate with drivers and internal teams to resolve delivery exceptions, delays, and delivery issues.
• Communicate dispatch information clearly, including route changes, priority updates, and instructions.
• Verify delivery details for accuracy, including addresses, service levels, and package information.
• Maintain organized logs and documentation for dispatch activities and operational exceptions.
• Assist with workload balancing across routes to support timely delivery performance.
• Escalate urgent operational concerns to the appropriate team while documenting actions taken.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and recommending process enhancements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• 1+ years of experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation coordination, or a related role (preferred).
• Proficiency with scheduling and tracking systems, including basic data entry and recordkeeping.
• Comfort using common office tools such as email, spreadsheets, and document management systems.
• Strong understanding of route planning principles and the ability to work with time-sensitive priorities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, including clear, professional updates to drivers and internal partners.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following established procedures.
• Reliable judgment and problem-solving skills when addressing delivery exceptions.
