We are looking for a dedicated, energetic individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This job is a Full-Time position and is based onsite as it is not eligible for remote work. As a pivotal part of our operations team, the Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling and management of our warehouse activities, maintaining the flow of goods, and contributing to outstanding customer service.
Our ideal candidate is an impeccably organized individual who is solution-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks in the warehouse setting. This role requires someone who can adapt quickly, manage inventory effectively, and ensure the precision and accuracy of all shipments and receipts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate tools and equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and other necessary warehouse machinery.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors, and coordinating the handling of merchandise returns.
- Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Follow proper shipping and receiving protocols including managing inventory, verifying shipments, and maintaining system data accuracy.
- Prepare parcels and orders for mailing ensuring accurate packing and labeling, meeting specific shipping requirements and timelines.
- Participate in inventory controls; conduct physical stock counts and reconcile with data to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Implement and adhere to safety management and compliance procedures, attending training sessions as required.
- Accurately record and manage all inventory-related paperwork, documenting warehouse transfers, disposals, adjustments, and handling other data entry tasks as necessary.
- Collaborate with coworkers, supervisors, and logistics staff to identify and resolve issues relating to stock and inventory adjustments.
- Assist in implementing operational policies and procedures to enhance organizational efficiency and customer satisfaction level.
- Maintain open lines of communication between fellow staff, management, sales, and other departments to ensure customer service expectations are met and exceeded.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year experience in shipping and receiving.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with case picking, shipping, and receiving operations.
- Capable of frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lb when required.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment with an emphasis on safety and routine maintenance.
- Ability to efficiently operate computers and enter data in the POS system.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional qualifications or certifications in logistics are a plus.
